My Life In Singapore

Starting from 1st of July, Singapore people have to pay their GST (Goods and Services Tax) a little bit higher than before. This is because of the decision made by the Singapore government to increase their GST from 5% to 7%. So, likely the goods and services price in Singapore will increase a little bit. But not only the GST will increase, private properties price and CPF (Central Provident Fund) by employer will also increase. Private properties price expected will increase around SGD 5k to SGD 20k. I cannot believe how the Singaporian people still can afford to buy a private properties in Singapore. Even their flat house is about the same price with Bungalow unit in Malaysia. No wonder people around the world said that Singapore has a lot of millionaire. Apart from GST increment, CPF contribution from employer will also increase 1.5%. My company pay 13% employer CPF so its mean it will increase to 14.5%. ermm...that's good... People are shopping n shopping now before the GST rat...

Yesterday night we go to Causeway Point food court. The food court is very famous among malays because almost all the food there is halal. The food court is in front of the Cathay Cineplex. When we having our food, we saw Ramli Sarip come to the food court with maybe his grandchild.He searching for a food and i notice almost everybody didn't notice him or maybe just ignored his appearance. I don't know whether Singaporian know who is Ramli Sarip..hehe...Only one of the couple in front of us wave hand at him. I also wave hand and smile at him and he reply back. My question is, is Ramli Sarip Singaporian or what ?? If he is not Singaporian, what did he do in Woodlands ? :D

31st May is a public holiday for Singapore. So i decided to take a leave for one day on the 1st of June. That is the first time i go back to Malaysia (selangor and pahang to be precised) since i worked here. Actually what i want to talk is about Singapore action to prevent terrorism. Singapore really aware and alert about terrorism. Maybe this is because they surrounded by muslim country (malaysia and indonesia). Singapore Custom and Checkpoint Authority very concern about Malaysian that want to enter Singapore. So they put scanner in both causeway and Tuas checkpoint. They also put Gurkha soldier there. Compare to malaysia checkpoint, we can just show our passport and without checking our luggage. One more thing is, when i arrive from JB to Kranji MRT station, there's always a security officer watching passenger that comes to the station. I get back from JB with a big luggage, the officer ask me to open my bag to check my luggage. My friend also have to do so. What i saw is he onl...
